Sturgis 2024: Death Fighters EMS MC Rides America

In August 2024, five Death Fighters EMS MC members flew from Dubai to Rapid City, South Dakota, for the 84th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Sturgis is more than a rally. Every August, riders from across the world gather in the Black Hills for ten days of motorcycles, live events and some of America's most memorable roads. For our brothers, it had been a long-standing ambition.

Dubai to the Black Hills

After landing in Rapid City, the team hired a mixture of Harley-Davidson Road Kings and a Street Glide. They spent the first two days becoming familiar with the motorcycles and exploring the region, including the Badlands, Mount Rushmore and Needles Highway.

On the Ground at Sturgis

Main Street during rally week is unlike anywhere else: motorcycles from every era, clubs and riders from many countries, and the sound of engines from morning until night.

Our brothers wore their colours with pride, conducted themselves as overseas visitors and were met with respect. They made connections with MC riders from the United States, Europe and Australia, proving once again that the motorcycle is a shared language.

Highlights

  • Riding Needles Highway at sunrise
  • Visiting the Buffalo Chip campground and live concerts
  • Meeting MC brothers from 12 countries
  • A dawn run through the Badlands on open roads

The Verdict

Sturgis 2024 exceeded every expectation. For five members of a Dubai-based EMS motorcycle club to ride the Black Hills alongside riders from around the world was both humbling and unforgettable.

The Club began discussing a return for Sturgis 2026 before the trip home had even finished.

Some rides are planned. Some rides seem to plan themselves. Sturgis was the latter.
